"Setting dogges" is an ancient term used for setters and the original purpose of the English Setter was to set or point upland game birds. From the best available information, it appears that the English Setter was a trained bird dog in England more than 400 years ago and there are works of art created in the early 15th century showing dogs that are discernible as being of a “setter type”.
The English Setter is a medium-sized dog which should have an elegant overall appearance. The English Setter Dog Breed has a personality and temperament that is mild mannered and sweet, and they make great family dogs. English Setters will want to be included in all family activities, are small enough to travel well in the car, and athletic enough to keep up on jogs, hikes and other outdoor activities.
The field type and show type English Setter look very different, even though they are the same breed. Field type setters are often smaller and are seen with less feathering and usually more distinctive spotting than show type setters.
English Setters can only tolerate being alone for a few hours at at time. They should not be raised in homes where they will be alone all day or they will become destructive chewers and neurotic barkers. Companion dogs don't always help the situation, either, unless the dogs are raised together as puppies and the Setter considers the other dog part of his pack.
The kennel was organized in 2011. I am Natalia, the breeder of Samoyeds and English setters. At the moment there are 4 dogs: Samoyed Lumeingel Väike Merineitsi "Meli". This is my main dog. It is the founder of all my dogs. Her daughter is Belie of Belyaev Lilac Violet "Ronya". Very cheerful and tender. Samoyed male dog Urfin Povelitel' Severnogo Vetra "Khan". It was brought from Russia. Fourth dog English setter Tantsuyushii Veter Pretty Face "Pretty" was also brought from Russia.
I have always loved dogs, but the first dog I bought only in 1994 and it was black miniature poodle. Absolutely happy and beloved pet, it was a "cushion". It has lived 15,5 years and after his death, I have owned the Samoyed with absolutely serious intentions, that include dog shows, competitions and breeding. The name of kennel was formed from a surname Belyaev and white dogs. Our dogs are members of our family. Their health, good physical development and development of pedigree qualities is a task of kennel of Belie of Belyaev.
Samoyeds are an ancient working breed. They have lived in Siberia with hunters and fishermen known as Samoyeds, hence where the breed received its name.
The Samoyed people used the dogs to pull their sleds, guard their property and for herding reindeer. Its gene pool is closely related to the primitive dog with no wolf or fox mixed in. The dogs slept with the people to keep them warm.
Samoyed eyes are usually black or brown and are almond in shape. The Samoyed is a gentle dog. Very devoted, easygoing, friendly and quite playful, it loves everyone. It will gladly be friendly to all, including intruders. It is too friendly to be of much use as a watchdog, although its bark will alert you to the presence of strangers. It willingly adapts to family life and gets along well with children. It is highly intelligent, and will respond to firm, patient training, which should be started at an early age.
